Live at the Gould presents
Apostle of Hustle,
with Tagaq
Admission: $25
|
Toronto’s Apostle of Hustle and Inouk singer Tagaq are
taking to the road this fall on a series of co-headlining dates.
They met last year at a CBC Fuse session in Ottawa, and inspired
by the music each was making, wanted to spend some time together
on the road.
For both Apostle of Hustle’s Andrew Whiteman, Julian Brown
and Dean Stone and Tagaq, the notion of collaboration comes naturally.
Whiteman performs as a member of Broken Social Scene, Brown has
toured and recorded with Feist, Stone has performed with Peter,
Bjorn & John, while Tagaq, on her new album Anuk, brought in
such diverse artists as Buck 65 and Mike Patton. Their concert promises
to bring some of that same magic and the spontaneity of live performance.
